This website and the Disaster Medicine Conference 2027 Android app are run by Future Minds for the conference organiser, the Emergency Medicine Council. Questions about your information go to bd@futureminds-kw.com.
What we collect
Registration. The answers you type into the registration form go from your browser straight to the conference's registration system, run by Future Minds. They are used to register you, take your payment and send your confirmation, and are shared with the organiser for attendance and certificates. Payments are handled by MyFatoorah: your card details go to MyFatoorah and never reach this website.
Error reports. If a page fails to load properly in your browser, it sends a short report to our server log: the error message, the page address, your browser's name and version, and how far your device's clock is off. Reports carry no name or contact details.
On your device only. The site keeps copies of pages you visited so they open without a connection. They are not sent to us.
Updates. If you turn on updates at the foot of any page, your browser gives this website an address at your browser maker's notification service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) and a key to encrypt messages for it. We keep both on our server only to send conference updates, and delete them when you turn updates off or your browser tells us the address no longer works. They carry no name or contact details.
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising.
The Android app
The app shows the same public conference information as this website and keeps a copy on your phone so it works offline. It has no account and does not use your location, contacts, camera or files.
If you allow notifications, the app registers with Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which gives your phone a random token used only to deliver conference announcements. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings. Registering for the conference in the app opens this website.
Who sees it
We do not sell your information. It is shared only with the services named above, each for the purpose given: Future Minds's registration system, MyFatoorah for payment, Google Firebase and your browser's notification service for updates, and the organiser.
How long we keep it
The retention period will be published here once the organiser confirms it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the registration details we hold about you by writing to bd@futureminds-kw.com.
